Christina Swartz

Christina Swartz has been an independent consultant and coach for over eight years, primarily helping leaders and leadership teams increase their personal and organizational effectiveness.

As a leadership coach, Christina has coached in a wide variety of organizations in the Federal and local government sectors, the non-profit sector and for-profit companies.  In addition to coaching leaders in medium and large organizations either individually or in cohort leadership programs, she has significant experience coaching small business owners and independent professionals.  With those clients, her leadership coaching work also includes a great deal of work on issues related to ownership/leadership of micro-enterprises.  Her personal experience as a business owner having to negotiate leases and other contracts, hire employees, design advertising, recruit customers, and make a profit has prepared her well to work with other business owners.

As a leadership coach, Christina partners with her clients to uncover hidden potential, new ideas, personal strengths and work to overcome challenges.  Christina works with clients in a collaborative way to tap into their own wisdom and create awareness around a particular subject or challenge. 

Prior to becoming an independent consultant and coach, Christina had careers in education where she was a teacher and school director/owner and the airline industry where she ran the Customer Service Department for United Express at Dulles Airport. 

Christina is a graduate of the Georgetown University’s Leadership Coaching Certificate Program.  Her formal education includes a bachelor’s degree with Honors from the University of Mary Washington and graduate study at Old Dominion and Shenandoah Universities.
