Cindy O’Kane

Cindy O’Kane is a leadership coach, facilitator and business consultant, and has been serving corporate and non-profit clients in the DC area for over 20 years.

As a coach, Cindy works with closely with senior executives, helping them gain insights into their own drivers and behaviors; and empowering them to operationalize who they want to be as authentic leaders.  She is a trusted advisor, and works closely with clients to co-develop a plan of action with measures of success that will work for them as a person, as well as professionally. 

Cindy is also a trained facilitator, working with executive teams on a short or long-term basis. Her work ranges from facilitating key meetings/off-sites, to lengthy engagements where she partners with a team to: co-create their goals and vision for success, clarify roles and responsibilities, improve cross-team communication, and create a culture of collaboration.

As a business consultant, Cindy works with large and small firms, supporting them in maintaining programmatic and organizational health. Cindy has led and/or assisted with organizational assessments, program development, performance management, communications, market studies, benchmarking and developing measures of success. 

In her years at KPMG Consulting and the MITRE Corporation, an FFRDC, Cindy led Organizational Change Management (OCM) teams to support private and public sector clients undertaking large-scale organizational change, including joint ventures, mergers and acquisitions, and IT/ERP implementations. Cindy developed and managed teams focused on leadership action planning, workforce assessments and transition planning, performance management, training and communications.  

Cindy sits on the board of several non-profits, and is currently serving as Vice Chair of MINDS Inc., a non-profit that brings mindfulness training to schools in the DC area.  

Cindy is a graduate of the Georgetown University Executive Coaching Certification Program, and a member of the International Coach Federation.  Cindy received her Masters in Business Administration (MBA) from Boston University, and her Masters in Social Work (MSW) from Syracuse University.  Cindy also completed her BS at Syracuse University.
