Assessments offer the opportunity for personal insight and reflection.  Assessments combined with leadership coaching provide a powerful support to the client and can be transformative, bringing forth new behaviors and a new way of being.

Collaborative Thinking™ uses these and other assessments in a variety of contexts including individual and team coaching to raise self awareness, build emotional intelligence and to expand effective leadership capacity through increased understanding of self and others.

The Myers-Briggs Type Indicator

The Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) is a self-validating assessment that allows you to discover new insights into your personality preferences. Just as we are born with a clear preference for left or right handedness, we are also born with personality preferences such as introversion, extroversion, and intuition. Becoming aware of your personality preference (‘type’) enables you to more deeply appreciate your personality and expand into areas of non-preference.

Work groups that understand each others types are better able to leverage their collective preferences for greater organizational effectiveness. We provide high energy and reflective MBTI team building workshops (half and full day) for group sizes of 3 to 100 people.

The Leadership Circle

The Leadership Circle  is a 360-degree assessment tool measuring two primary leadership domains—Creative Competencies and Reactive Tendencies.  It integrates this information into a 360 image, helping the leader clearly see how others perceive them, and where their competencies and potential areas of development might be.

The Leadership Circle Culture Survey  helps teams comprehend the impact that culture has on their environment and ultimately how their culture impacts performance.

“The organizational system cannot operate at a higher level of performance than the consciousness of its leadership.”  The Leadership Circle’s Founder and CEO Bob Anderson

Thomas-Kilmann Conflict Mode Instrument

Thomas-Kilmann Conflict Mode Instrument is a 30 question, self assessment instrument providing insight into preferred conflict modes.  The TKI identifies five primary conflict modes (avoiding, accommodating, collaborating, compromising, and competing) and identifies the benefits and challenges of each mode.  Awareness of the five modes creates choice, empowering clients to choose the most useful mode at any given time.

We conduct interactive conflict workshops that include the TKI and other resources.  Believe it or not…these workshops are fun, dynamic and have positive impact on work environments.

Hogan Assessments

The Hogan Personality Inventory (HPI) is used by organizations to ensure that new hire’s values are consistent with those of the organization, and to measure personality to predict job performance. The HPI can provide insight when making employee selection, leadership development, succession planning, and talent management processes.

The Motives, Values, Preferences Inventory (MVPI) is a personality inventory that reveals a person’s core values, goals and interests. Results indicated which type of position, job and environment will be most motivating for the employee and when he/she will feel the most satisfied.

The Hogan Development Survey (HDS) identifies personality-based performance risks and derailers of interpersonal behavior which affect an individual’s leadership style and actions. If these behavior patterns are recognized, however, they can be compensated for by development and coaching.

The Hogan Business Reasoning Inventory (HBRI) evaluates a person’s ability to solve problems and make business-related decisions using textual, graphic, and quantitative data. The HBRI is the first measure of reasoning ability based on a theory of intelligence and designed exclusively to predict real-world performance.
