ROD COLLINS

Rod Collins has over thirty-five years of international, organizational, and leadership experience. He supports organizations and people looking to increase awareness, reach goals, and acquire optimized skills. Rod is an executive coach, leadership coach, organizational consultant and facilitator.

Executive coaching with Rod involves reconceptualizing challenges so that their underlying features are understood fully. The work includes both supporting leaders to flexibly imagine multiple solutions to challenges and engaging with clients to develop effective frameworks from which decisions can be made.

As a leadership coach, Rod draws on his practical experience working within England’s National Health Service as a leader, coach, and psychotherapist, as well as from his years working on Wall Street as an Investment Manager. Both roles supported the development of effective communication, strong interpersonal skills, and emotional intelligence as key components of success. Rod’s approach to leadership coaching uses psychoanalytic and group-dynamic principles that encourage self-awareness and the building of team perspective.

As an organizational consultant, Rod is experienced working with entities of all sizes to build skills that support the health and performance of their people. Specialties include working with organizations to improve communication and to minimize stress in the workplace.

Through his work as a facilitator, Rod has partnered with clients looking to address challenges in areas such as team dynamics and performance. Fundamental to Rod’s approach is the belief that the answers to such challenges reside within the team, and it is the facilitator’s role to assist in the surfacing of productive solutions.

Rod’s career experience includes being a Tax Senior with Arthur Andersen & Co. in Philadelphia, being Managing Director and Co-head of the Diversified Investment Group at J&W Seligman & Co. in New York, managing a mental health service and working as a psychotherapist and researcher within the National Health Service in England, and running his own UK-based coaching business for 15+ years.
