Alison Miller

Alison Miller, Senior Consultant and Executive Coach, brings more than 25 years of successful leadership development experience to the company in both the public and private sectors. She served in executive positions where she was responsible for technology development, strategy, and service delivery, and successfully implemented dozens of programs by aligning people, systems, and business processes. Alison shares with clients how to develop and execute positive and practical roadmaps to meet their goals and measure their personal and team progress.

As a coach, Alison educates leaders to maximize their capacity, visibility, and thought leadership. Alison’s clients report expanding their self-awareness, mindfulness, and skills to improve communication, build cohesive teams, inspire employees, manage conflict, increase productivity and resilience, and develop influence and political savvy. Her style is to provide the education, tools, empathetic yet direct support, and powerful questions to allow the “best self” of the client to emerge. Her clients have reported improvement against their coaching goals with positive and lasting impact to related areas of their professional and personal lives.

As a facilitator, Alison uses a variety of assessments, evaluations and training techniques, to help teams clarify their goals, roles, processes, and relationships. She supports development of strategic and tactical plans by aligning the organizational mission, vision, and values to create realistic actions with prioritized goals that achieve measurable outcomes. Alison supports positive team and interpersonal dynamics by uncovering root causes of dysfunction and sharing tools to build winning relationships with internal team members and external stakeholders.

Prior to focusing on leadership development and coaching, Alison held Vice President roles with Monster’s Government Solutions Group and a mid-size management consulting firm. With Monster, Alison was brought in to lead the turnaround of a human capital management division including service delivery, architecture and application development, quality assurance, release planning, data center operations, and help desk support. She addressed numerous project fires with unhappy clients while simultaneously creating a sustainable delivery capability from an organization that had been overwhelmed by prior mismanagement and lack of direction.

Alison hold a Master of Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing from Cornell University Johnson Graduate School of Management and a Bachelor Science in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Clarkson University.
