Daniel Sheres is an executive coach and leadership development consultant focusing on coaching senior executives and management teams to be more creative, collaborative, and influential. His practical, results-based approach draws on over 20 years experience as an executive coach, management consultant, entrepreneur, and technology specialist. His expertise has been leveraged at top management consulting and professional services firms and across many industries including emergency management, healthcare, pharmaceutical, defense, legal, and telecommunications.  He has coached and advised senior leadership at organizations ranging from small entrepreneurial ventures to global consulting firms.

 

Daniel’s approach supports leaders to better understand both the internal drivers and the broader context for engaging successful leadership behaviors. Working with the client’s most pressing leadership objectives, his coaching supports the ability to better perceive and negotiate complex challenges, communicate effectively, delegate with authority, and to demonstrate resilience and resourcefulness through transition. His wide range of influences include neuroscience, emotional intelligence, Human Givens psychology and a longtime study of martial and meditative arts. The result is a flexible and practical approach to transformation that supports his clients to reveal their most effective, dynamic, and authentic leadership style.

 

Daniel is a graduate of William & Mary and holds a Master’s degree in Health Policy and Management and Certificate in Health Finance and Management from Johns Hopkins University. He received a Certificate in Leadership Coaching from the Institute for Transformational Leadership at Georgetown University. He is the co-author of The Coaching Companion: Get the Most from Your Coaching Experience, now in its second edition. Daniel also holds a black belt in Aikido and teaches nationally on martial arts principles and their applications in leadership development.
