Patricia Porter
Patricia “Pattie” Porter brings 33 years of experience in conflict management and resolution, partnering with leaders and organizations to reduce anxiety, strengthen communication, and transform destructive conflict patterns. She helps leaders cultivate steadiness, emotional maturity, and clarity so they can guide their teams through tension, change, and organizational stress with confidence.

Pattie provides executive coaching and specialized conflict management and abrasive-behavior coaching for individuals and teams seeking to shift culture and elevate their leadership approach. Known for her warm, empathetic presence and incisive questioning, she helps leaders uncover blind spots, integrate new insights, and practice behaviors that create lasting change. Her clients span federal, state, and private sectors, including family-owned businesses, omnichannel retailers, technology and science organizations, energy and utilities companies, hospital systems, and higher education institutions.
A skilled team facilitator, Pattie designs and leads multi-day in-person and virtual engagements focused on senior leadership development, team effectiveness, change and transition management, and dialogue-based problem-solving. For nearly 20 years, she served as an organizational consultant and facilitator for the Transportation Security Administration (TSA), supporting the development of an Integrated Conflict Management System (ICMS), and now serves as a mentor coach for TSA’s internal coaching program.
As a seasoned mediator, Pattie has served as a neutral in EEO cases for the United States Postal Service for 25 years, mentored workplace mediators for the U.S. Navy, and currently mediates for the Department of the Interior and private-sector organizations. She is also an experienced trainer who has taught thousands of participants in conflict management, emotional intelligence, collaborative problem-solving, and facilitation skills. For nearly a decade, she served as an adjunct professor in the graduate Dispute Resolution Program at Southern Methodist University.
Pattie founded and hosted The Texas Conflict Coach®, a global online radio program dedicated to educating the public about constructive conflict engagement, and is the author of two Minibuks™ on managing and preventing destructive conflict. She is a Professional Certified Coach (PCC), a founding recipient of the Academy of Advanced Practitioners (AAP) designation from the Association for Conflict Resolution, a Past President of the Texas Association of Mediators, and holds an MSW in Advanced Generalist Practice from Delaware State University.
